A new name for a proven company.
In 2001, Joseph Wirbick and his partner formed Boyd Senior Planning. Operating as a financial planning organization, the partners quickly recognized that many of their customers shared a common characteristic — they were either nearing retirement or retired already.
The company decided to focus its resources on this segment of the market in an attempt to deliver more specialized services that would better represent their customers' needs as they entered their retirement years. In the first five years, the business grew to over 400 clients.
In 2007, Joe became President and the sole owner of the company. At the same time, the company was renamed Sequinox — reflecting a desire to offer a complete set of products and services important to the retirement planning of their customers. But what didn't changed is the fact that Sequinox still specializes in retirement planning.
Currently, Sequinox is reacting to a changing investment landscape by offering more choices in investment portfolios, estate planning and IRA distribution, as well as advice in long-term care and MediCare issues. Charles Schwab Institutional securities and advisory services are now offered through Workman Securities Corporation, Eden Prairie, Minnesota, member FINRA and SIPC. To this end, we continue to hire new specialists to ensure that more client needs can be served than ever before.
